Board Nominations - Your Help is Needed!

There are 3 very important positions within the ABNS leadership that must be filled immediately. The ABNS President Elect (previously held by Shannon Stone), ABNS Secretary/Treasurer (previously held by Karen Nason), and the Chair of the ABNS Nominating Committee (previously held by Diane Knoblauch) are all currently open due to unexpected resignations and these positions need to be filled immediately. The position terms are as follows:

  • President Elect: Term would begin immediately and the individual will transition to President on July 1, 2019 for a 2 year term.

  • Secretary/Treasurer: Term would begin immediately and the individual would serve until June 30, 2020.

  • Nominating Committee: Term would begin immediately and the individual would serve until June 30, 2020.

Please contact the ABNS Executive Office if you would like to volunteer to fill these very important positions. Note these positions are separate from the positions of President Elect and Member at Large that will be voted on during the Spring Business Meeting.

Call for Member Milestones

Please contact the ABNS Executive Office if you wish to report an organizational milestone, such recognition may include:

  • A special anniversary for a certification;

  • A special anniversary for years of membership with ABNS.

Please send the notice by email, abns@nursingcertification.org. Recognition will be made at the Spring Conference Business Meeting.

  2. In advance of the conference, each organization should rank the 4 objectives fby order of importance as determined by your organization.
  3. Be prepared to share examples of how you determined the order of objectives.
  4. ABNS will facilitate a discussion of the objective ranking and creation of objective achievement tasks forces with a charge of creating goals and action plans to achieve the objective.
