BIRMINGHAM, AL May 11, 2017 - The Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification, Inc. (ABSNC), announced it has granted initial accreditation to the American Nurses Credentialing Center for the Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS-BC) certification program.

ABSNC accreditation is a peer-reviewed mechanism that allows nursing certifying organizations to obtain program accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the highest quality standards in the industry.

“Accreditation is a highly desirable distinction for specialty nursing certifying organizations,” said Dottie Roberts, EdD, MSN, MACI, RN, OCNS-C®, CMSRN, ABSNC Accreditation Manager. “To earn this prestigious recognition, applicant organizations must demonstrate compliance with 18 ABSNC standards in the development and maintenance of a quality certification program.”
