Regular Membership: Regular Membership is open to specialty organizations that certify registered nurses exclusively, or as the majority (greater than 50%) of its certificant population.
Associate Membership: Associate Membership is open to specialty health care certifying organizations that certify registered nurses as a portion (50% or less) of its certificant population.
Affiliate Membership: Affiliate Membership is open to not-for-profit and for-profit organizations that have an interest in the promotion of specialty nursing certification.
Public members serve as representatives of health care consumers to the Assembly and to the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification. Public members are appointed by the Board of Directors. Jacqueline Callahan, CVA, Callahan and Associates, LLC in Bethesda, MD, serves as the current ABNS Public Member.
